Pengisytiharan Awal Syawal 1429H/2008
Bagi Republik Singapura.
Mengikut kiraan hisab Anak bulan Syawal tidak ada diatas ufuk Singapura kerana telah terbenam lebih awal dari matahari selama 5 minit. Oleh yang demikian esok adalah hari pencukup bulan Ramadan 30 hari. Dan awal bulan Syawal 1429H jatuh pada lusa, Rabu bersamaan 1 hb Oktober 2008.

MUFTI OF SINGAPORE’S ANNOUNCEMENT ON DATE OF HARI RAYA AIDIL FITRI
Astronomical calculations showed that the new moon was not at the horizon this evening (Monday, 29 September 2008) as it sets 5 minutes earlier than the sun. Thus, tomorrow, (Tuesday, 30 September 2008) marks the 30th day of the Islamic month of Ramadan and the first day of Syawal (Hari Raya Aidil Fitri) falls on Wednesday, 1 October 2008.
